[English]

Background and Objectives:. The aim of this study is to analyze the scientific productions related to multi-grade classes in order to explain its strengths and weaknesses for researchers and enthusiasts of multi-grade classes.

Methods: The research population and sample consist of all scientific productions (documents) in the Scopus citation database related to all countries worldwide from its inception to the end of 2023 that have investigated multi-grade classrooms. The data were collected using scientometric research methods and analyzed using the VOSviewer scientometric software.

Findings: Most documents are in the format of Articles; Top publication (SAE Technical Papers) (14 documents); Top supporting organization (National Natural Science Foundation of China); Most prolific author "Barttz" (11 documents); Most cited author, "Sajjad et al." (485 citations); Most productive institution (UCL Institute of Education); Top countries in terms of number of articles: United States, United Kingdom, and China; and most frequent keywords across all articles: (Multilayer), (Teacher), and (Education).

Conclusion: The research area of multigrade classrooms requires more attention. The lack of Persian software and the inability of Persian databases to provide information are limitations.
