Punctuation marks in writing fill the void of the absence of the speaker and the author in a specific place and time, and textbooks are among the texts in which the use of punctuation marks is very harmful, and according to the variety of content of the books, how to use them and also the frequency The types of punctuation marks in them are raised as an important issue; Therefore, in this research, which is based on analytical-statistical method and based on a case study, an attempt has been made to analyze the types of writing signs and their frequency in these books by examining the textbooks of the 11th grade of humanities. The findings of the research show that thirteen types of punctuation marks were used in different ways in these books, among which the comma and star were the most frequent; Also, the book of religion and life and the books of philosophy and psychology respectively have the highest and lowest amount of diversity and the books of religion and life and writing respectively have the highest and lowest amount of signs in them; Finally, punctuation marks were not used correctly in all these books.
