Abstract

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of Farhangian University’s educational teachings on graduates of the Primary Education program in North Khorasan Province. A mixed-methods approach was employed. The quantitative phase used a descriptive-survey design, while the qualitative phase applied a phenomenological method based on Colaizzi’s analysis technique.

The statistical population included all Primary Education graduates from 2012 to 2022 (N = 1,219), of whom 295 were selected through convenience sampling for the quantitative section. In the qualitative phase, 15 graduates and 7 university instructors were chosen purposively and interviewed. Data collection tools consisted of a researcher-developed questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The questionnaire’s reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha (α = 0.82), and content validity was established. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-sample t-test, and exploratory factor analysis.

The findings demonstrated that the university’s teachings had a significant and positive impact on graduates in terms of course content, pedagogical knowledge, learner-related knowledge, learning processes, and personal skill development. Furthermore, the integration of theoretical instruction with field experiences was identified as a key factor in enhancing teachers’ professional competencies.
